Luckily for fans of the series, Football Manager is one of the most mod-friendly sports games out there and gives its players the ability to modify virtually anything, be it the in-game database, rosters, leagues, and everything in between. Here are some of the best mods for Football Manager 2024 that will inject new life into the game.
Best Football Manager 24 Mods

English Lower Leagues Database
If you’re looking for a mod that will require a ton of time, why not take a crack at managing in one of England’s lower divisions and attempt to take a small club from the amateur level all the way to the Premier League?
DanFMDatabases of Sort It Out has created a database that includes teams all the way down to the 12th division of English football. Football Manager saves are typically lengthy, especially if you’re doing a “Road to Glory” save where you take a lower division team and bring them to the top.
FM24 To FM25 DLC
Now that Football Manager 25 isn’t coming out, many ardent FM players will find themselves in a conundrum — they’re either deep into a save, or want to start a new one. But choosing the latter could be a bummer because a new save in FM24 means you’ll have to use outdated rosters and databases.
The FM24 to FM25 DLC mod — created by FM Scout user Stam — rectifies this issues by updating rosters, as well as placing teams in their correct leagues.
Install A New Skin
Let’s say you’re deep into an FM24 save and can’t bring yourself to start another one, but you still need to keep things fresh and break up some of the “sameness.” If this describes you, maybe installing a new skin will inject some life into things.
Skins not only give your game a fresh coat of paint, they also highlight different kinds of information that could be vital to your success. One of the most popular skins is the Sas24 skin created by Sasmaz, which includes bigger portraits, more information on a player’s overview page, and color-coded data to make things easier to read. And if the Sas24 skin isn’t for you, worry not — there are plenty of others to choose from.
Kitbasher
Speaking of visual mods, Kitbasher by Nymain is literally a gamechanger and won’t just help you keep your FM24 save fresh and exciting, but can also provide some variety in between seasons. Essentially, Kitbasher is a custom kit creator that adds not just PNG’s to your team’s info page, but also adds 3D kits that teams will wear in-game.
For example, say you’ve managed a team and taken them from the lower divisions to top flight glory. But even after you’ve become one of the top clubs in the world, your team still has some obscure sponsor and your kit design looks unfitting for a championship-caliber squad. Well, that’s where Kitbasher comes in.
Kitbasher comes preloaded with hundreds of different kit designs from dozens of manufacturers, as well as a bunch of sponsor images you can apply to them. If you want to go for full immersion, you can create new kits for every top flight team in the game. Or, you can keep it simple and just update yours as time goes by.
Genie Scout
OK, spoiler alert: If immersion is what you want, then the FM Scout Genie Scout isn’t for you. But let’s say you’ve been playing FM24 for over a year, are bored, and want to take a peak under the hood to see if that academy wonderkid you’ve been developing is worth the hassle.
The Genie Scout demystifies all of Football Manager’s systems, giving you access to players’ actual attributes and potentials, as well as hidden stats such as professionalism. Think of it like the In-game Editor (which comes with certain editions of the game), but without the ability to edit anything.
In addition to seeing the actual stats and potentials of your own players, the Genie Scout also allows you to look elsewhere in your database and find those high-potential wonderkids that might be hidden in those more obscure leagues.
